Good natured shenanigans kicked off homecoming week as signs supporting this Friday's Blackhawks football opponent (see photo at right), the Thunderhawks, appeared Monday morning across Wessington Springs. The effort serves as a fundraiser for the Wessington Springs Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (WSES PTO).
The WSES PTO asks folks to support the parent/ teacher organization while having a little fun during homecoming week.
“If you receive a dreaded Thunderhawk yard sign, give a donation and relocate the sign to your friend's, family member's, or neighbor's front yard! Just scan the QR code on the back of the sign or stop by Springs Food Market to make your donation,” said Ryan Jensen, WSES PTO board member. “You can't receive the same sign twice, but watch out because there are six different signs in the flock!”
