Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning; Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon.
Darleen enjoyed the roast beef dinner and chocolate cake from the Manor kitchen. It was a nice fall day, so she went for a walk.
Tuesday Darleen enjoyed the lasagna, lettuce salad, peas and Hawaiian cheesecake from the Senior Center. It was delivered by Joanne Grohs. It was another nice day, so Darleen went for a walk. Darleen’s granddaughter Nicole Cuppy Hedt called from Arizona in the evening. It was very hot there.
Wednesday Darleen Higgins was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. She served delicious coffeecake. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Lorraine Schultz, Vera Salter, Eldora Hasz, Kathy Larson, Luella Teveldal, Joyce Mees and Darleen Cuppy. Cards were played in the south dining room at 2 p.m. Enjoying the afternoon were Darleen Higgins, Doris Deneke, Joyce Mees, Luella Teveldal, Ruth Jensen, Marilyn Robbins, Marlys Shryock, Lynette Marken, Darleen Cuppy and Lyle Pawlowski. Johnny Knippling joined us for coffee, cake dessert and cookies served by Ruth Jensen.
Thursday Darleen enjoyed the chicken sandwich, potato salad and apple pie from the Senior Center.
Thursday evening Darleen watched the playoff game between our Blackhawks and Rapid City Christian Comets on the school channel. RC Comets won 36-7. The Blackhawks had a great season! After the game, Cheryl and Craig Van Asperen and Brian and Julie Bell, Carlie and Berklie came to Darleen’s apartment. Cheryl served peach pie! She left an extra piece in the refrigerator for Darleen!
Friday Darleen enjoyed the roast beef dinner from the Senior Center. It was delivered by Rhonda Lepage. It was another nice day, so Darleen went for a walk and then visited with Eldora Hasz and Vera Salter.
Saturday Darleen’s daughter Cathy White called to say granddaughter Ella Darleen and other friends cheer competition was on TV. Many cheer teams competed. Ella and her team did very well! Granddaughter Becky Krueger had her Wessington Springs crosscountry team competing in Sioux Falls too.
Sunday Darleen Cuppy watched the Christian Worship Hour with Pastor Harold Salem and the service from the Sioux Falls Lutheran Church on TV.
