Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning; Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon.
Darleen enjoyed the roast beef dinner from the Manor kitchen.
Tuesday Grandma Dar was very grateful her granddaughter Becky Krueger came after school and ordered Darleen’s Christmas cards on her computer. This technology is so amazing!
Wednesday Lorraine Schultz was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. She served a delicious peach coffeecake. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Vera Salter, Eldora Hasz, Kathy Larson, Judy Baumgart, Luella Teveldal, Joyce Mees and Darleen Cuppy.
Darleen enjoyed the chicken dinner and pudding from the Manor kitchen. At 2 p.m. cards were played in the south dining room. Enjoying the afternoon were Lyle Pawlowski, Darleen Higgins, Marlys Shryock, Joyce Mees, Doris Deneke, Luella Teveldal, Lynette Marken, Shirley Bender, and Darleen Cuppy. Coffee and a beautiful and very tasty cake from the Ness family was served. George Wenzel and Marilyn Robbins came later and enjoyed coffee and cake.
Darleen’s granddaughter Becky Krueger came in the evening and decorated the apartment for Christmas. Darleen has been enjoying it! She also enjoyed seeing the pretty Christmas wreaths and other decorations on the doors of other apartments.
Thursday Darleen rode the Springs Area Bus with Joanne Grohs to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop.
Friday was December 1st. Darleen enjoyed the rib sandwich, baked beans, salad and cake from the Senior Center.
Friday evening Darleen Cuppy enjoyed the Elementary school Christmas concert at 7 p.m. on the school channel. It was so delightful! Mrs. Julie Fastnacht and Mrs. Munson are wonderful music teachers.
Becky and Brock Krueger stopped in at Grandma Dar’s after the concert. They got Darleen’s video photo frame working. She is so grateful.
Saturday Darleen didn’t feel very good – had a headache and runny nose. So, she rested most of the day. Darleen did enjoy the chicken and noodle hot dish dinner from the Manor kitchen.
Sunday Darleen still didn’t feel good, so she didn’t go to church. She watched the Christian Worship Hour with Pastor Harold Salem on TV.
Darleen enjoyed the turkey dinner and pie from the Manor kitchen, then rested again. Darleen had a surprise in the afternoon – her daughter Cathy White came. She brought Candi Sails home. Candi flew into Sioux Falls. Candi and Leon drove down to Memphis earlier and spent Thanksgiving with Leon’s mother and other family members. Leon stayed to work in Memphis for now. Candi and Baleigh came over to visit for a while.
Our weather has been wonderful through November and now into December!
