Funeral services for Anita “Granny Fang” Leischner, 85 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Thursday evening at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, will be heldWednesdayDecember 13 at 2 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Francis Animal Shelter at 109 Flat Iron Drive in Buffalo, Wyoming 82834. Online condolences may be made at www. harnessfuneralhome.com Anita “Granny Fang” Leischner was born on May 17, 1938 in Artesian, South Dakota. Her parents were George and Clara Stulken. She grew up on the family dairy farm outside of Wessington Springs, South Dakota where she went to school, graduating from Wessington Springs High School with the class of 1956. She was married on June 2, 1957 to Dale Leischner in Wessington Springs where they made their home. Anita and Dale owned and operated Leischner Springs Gas Company until 1981 when they sold the business and moved to Buffalo.

In 1984 they started Granny’s Bloomers north of Buffalo which they owned and operated until 2004. At that time she took a job with American Outback Antiques as a clerk and bookkeeper where she worked until 2020. She continued living in Buffalo until her death.

Granny Fang was an accomplished gardener with an over the top work ethic. She was an avid reader, she loved to dance and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, telling jokes and had a wicked sense of humor. Her passion was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dale Leischner; her son Kirk Leischner and his wife Cathy and two daughters, Kelly Harris and Kristy Money all of Buffalo; six grandchildren, Ryan Money, Aaron Money and his wife Monica, Whitney Nelson and her husband Ben, Collin Harris, Raleigh Coones and his wife Hannah and Abbie Coones; four great-grandchildren, RaeLee, Norah, Marissa and Logan; her aunt Hazel Suedes of Casper; one sister-in-law Gladys Kieser of Wessington Springs, South Dakota and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Kathy Manning and her son-in-law Jim Harris.
