During Saturday’s home basketball victory vs. Howard, WSHS senior Avery Orth scored a bucket to surpass the 1,000 points mark for her career.
“Getting my 1,000th career point means a lot to me. It was special because I have played with these teammates for so long and it meant a lot to be able to get it with them,” Orth shared. “It also meant a lot that I was able to achieve this goal on our home court because having the home crowd there really made the atmosphere electric. I want to thank my teammates and coaches, because without them, this achievement wouldn’t have been possible.”
