Darleen Cuppy wrote her Cuppy’s Corner News Monday forenoon. Delia Atkinson came to get it later. It was very cold and windy again! Darleen enjoyed the sweet & sour chicken dinner from the Manor kitchen. The Spartans boys played Sunshine Bible Academy at 1 p.m. Spartans won 71-19. The Spartans girls won 41-36 over James Valley Christian on Tuesday. These games were played in Wolsey.
Wednesday Joyce Mees was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. She served delicious caramel rolls. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Darleen Higgins, Lorraine Schultz, Vera Salter, Kathy Larson, Pastor Nancy Rieke from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and Pastor Cheri Van Gorp the new pastor for the Methodist Church and Darleen Cuppy. Bingo was played at 2 p.m. Lyle Pawlowski called the numbers. Enjoying the afternoon were Ruth Jensen, Marilyn Robbins, Darleen Higgins, Lynnette Marken, Shirley Bender, Joyce Mees, Judy Baumgart and Darleen Cuppy.
Thursday Darleen Cuppy rode the bus with Joanne Grohs to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for her 10:30 a.m. appointment. Thursday at 6 p.m. the Spartans girls played Woonsocket/Sanborn Central Blackhawks. The Spartans won 40-38 in overtime! The Spartans boys played Woonsocket/ Sanborn Central Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. The Spartans won 61-47! These games were played in the Huron Arena. Congratulations to the Spartans girls and boys teams for winning the 281 champions!
Friday Darleen got lots of birthday cards sent to family members. Darleen enjoyed the shrimp dinner from the Senior Center. It was delivered by Joanne Grohs.
Saturday was a very cold day! Darleen enjoyed the chicken and noodle hot dish and cake from the Manor kitchen.
Sunday Darleen watched the Christian Worship Hour with Pastor Harold Salem and the service from the Sioux Falls Lutheran Church on TV. Darleen enjoyed the turkey dinner and pie from the Manor kitchen. Elaine Roetman stopped in the afternoon with the bulletin from the Methodist Church.
