“Cuppys Corner”

Darleen Cuppy wrote her Cuppy’s Corner News Monday forenoon. Delia Atkinson came to get it later. Darleen enjoyed the chicken fried steak dinner from the Senior Center. It was delivered by Joanne Grohs. Darleen worked on her gifts list for the belated Cuppy Christmas. It will be held in the Senior Center Saturday January 27 and Sunday January 28.

Tuesday Darleen enjoyed the ham dinner from the Manor kitchen. In the evening she watched the Spartans boys’ and girls’ basketball games with the Mitchell Christian Thunder. The Spartans won three of the four games!

Wednesday Darleen didn’t feel very well. She was very dizzy, so she didn’t go to the 9 a.m. coffee or the 2 p.m. cards. Darleen’s daughter Candi Sails stopped in and gave Darleen some allergy pills that helped her feel better.

Thursday Darleen rode the Springs Area Bus to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for a 10:30 a.m. appointment. Darleen enjoyedthehothamburger dinner from the Senior Center. Darleen’s daughter Cindy Zenk of Webster stopped in, she was driving home from a meeting in Pierre. She took Darleen’s Christmas decorations down and put up Valentine decorations. Darleen watched the Spartans girls’ basketball teams play Woonsocket. The Spartans won all three games, the C team, Junior Varsity and Varsity. Friday Darleen got gifts ready for our belated Cuppy Christmas and her daughter Connie Theurer of Rosemont, MN stopped in the evening. Connie and her daughter Amber with sons Trey and Daxton, and other daughter Amy with girls Stella, Emma and Keira would be staying at the motel for the weekend.

Saturday, our family met at the Senior Center for potluck dinner and supper. Darleen furnished broasted chicken and macaroni salad from the Springs Inn. Attending both days or a short time were Cheryl and Craig Van Asperen of Wessington, Becky and Mike Krueger, Rydell and Brock of Wessington Springs, Darryl and Nancy Cuppy of Harrold, SD, Connie Theurer of Rosemount, MN, Amber Hudson and sons Trey and Daxton of Apple Valley, MN, and Amy Thurston and girls Stella, Emma and Keira of Rosemount, MN, Carol Collins of Castlewood, SD, Ashley Collins and her boyfriend of Watertown, Dylan Collins of Watertown, Candi Sails and Baleigh of Wessington Springs, Deion James Sails, Athena Skye and True James of Brookings, SD, Cathy White and Nora of Sioux Falls, SD. Darleen had a small gift for everyone. Darleen received money and several lovely gifts. Most started home on Sunday morning. Thanks to Candi and Mike and Becky for all the extra help. Darleen is very grateful! Some enjoyed dinner at the Springs Inn.
