Farm, Home and Health Show Draws Hundreds to Springs

Senior Project Prompts Return of Popular Event After Three Year Hiatus

Show Featured Over 65 Vendor Booths, Hands-On Activities, Speakers from Agriculture and Politics Including Rep. Dusty Johnson

The Wessington Springs Elementary School gymnasium and newly constructed Rec Center were transformed into a shopping and educational mecca for Farm, Home and Health Show attendees on President’s Day thanks to Wessington Springs 12th grader Avery Orth. She took on the revitalization of the Farm and Home show after a three years hiatus of the event.

Sixty-eight vendor booths, engaging speakers, along with a delicious free customer appreciation lunch sponsored by Venture Communications, Total Oil / Total Construction, H&H Ag Solutions, Coca-Cola and Springside Sales, Inc. helped fill the facilities, serving a whopping total of 437 meals.

Jason Schley of Next Level Ag delivered an interesting ag-related presentation and Representative Dusty Johnson covered a wide range of topics during a well-attended Q&A session including rural health care, trade, regulation as it relates to the ag industry and a lively back and forth about security of our southern borders.

Attendees delighted in the return of the event, and hopes are high for the continuation of the show for many years to come.
