Two Local Youth Qualify for Junior High Rodeo National Team

    Two Wessington Springs School District students, Wyatt Fagerhaug and Londyn Mikkelson, earned some hefty hardware during the South Dakota Junior High State Finals Rodeo, earning them a place on the nationals team. The duo from Jerauld County will compete next month in Des Moines, IA from June 23-29 on the national stage. Below are their individual accolades: 

    Wyatt Fagerhaug

    • 4th on the National Team in Boys Breakaway

    • 4th on the National Team in Boys Goat Tying 

    Londyn Mikkelson

    • 4th on the National Team in Girls Goat Tying

    • 4th on the National Team in Ribbon Roping

    • Girls High Point Rookie of the Year
