WSHS CLASS B STATE GOLF CHAMPIONS: THE CELEBRATION CONTINUES
On the heels of winning the Class B Golf Championship earlier this month, the Spartans and their coaches received a prestigious invitation to Governor Noem’s Champions Luncheon held on Thursday, June 13.
The invitation from Governor Noem stated, “To show my appreciation for all the time, energy and effort that went into you accomplishing such a task, I would like to personally invite you to the Governor’s Residence for our Champions Luncheon. This invite is for coaches and players only.”
Head Golf Coach Regina Teveldal said it was a special experience for the team.
“It’ll be something the boys, Pat and I will always cherish together. Thank you to her and all of her staff!”
Following the luncheon, Governor Noem shared an Instagram post about the event: “We invited all of the state champions — whether in athletic or academic competitions — whether individual or team events — to join us for a luncheon at the Governor’s Residence. Many of them toured my home. I had so much fun talking with these exceptional young men and women! CONGRATULATIONS! I loved seeing all of you!”
