To the Editor, I just wanted to express my thoughts on a few things in our town. I always knew we were fortunate to have the health care that we do in our community. I wanted to take this time to thank everyone who takes care of us — from the clinic to the therapists on the other end.
An example of what we have was shown to us the other day. Tricia and I had a teleconference call with a doctor in Sioux Falls. The call was at our local hospital where the nurse took my vitals and was all ready for the call. She did a great job explaining everything to us and preparing for the call. After the call was about over, the doctor asked how long before I could get a CT scan and blood work done. Well, ‘I don't know for sure,’ I told him.
Thirty minutes later it was all done and sent to him. Wow is all we could say. The staff went right to work and got it done right here in town. I am so appreciative of all the staff from Horizon Health and Dental and the Avera staff from doctors, nurses, therapists and receptionists. Let's just say every person that works there is professional and we are darn lucky to have them.
I know this letter is long but wanted to know you are all appreciated.
