Humbletown to Headline This Week’s Music in the Garden

All are invited to attend the second week of Music in the Garden, this Thursday, July 18, at Shakespeare Garden in Wessington Springs starting at 7 p.m.

This week’s featured musical talent is a group called Humbletown. Formed in the humble prairie town of Vermillion, South Dakota, Humbletown has emerged as a powerful multi-genre bluegrassinspired ensemble. Now based out of the Black Hills, the band is inspired by the quiet beauty of pine-filled forests, with original songs inspired by their home and travels, intricately performed on clawhammer banjo, flatpick guitar, and upright bass.

With music that combines influences of bluegrass, old time, hot club swing, Americana, and classic country, Humbletown will take you on a musical journey that stretches across time and space.

Attendees are reminded to bring lawn chairs to the event. In case of inclement weather, the 1905 Opera House serves as the backup location. For more information, call (206) 2513558.
