Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning and Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon.
Darleen enjoyed the chicken salad and peach sauce from the Senior Center delivered by Joanne Grohs. Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Chicago Cubs in the evening. The Minnesota Twins won 3-0.
Tuesday Darleen enjoyed the pork dinner from the Manor kitchen. In the evening Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Chicago Cubs. The Chicago Cubs won 7-3. Candi Sails and Baliegh came in the evening with a slice of pizza and stayed to visit a while.
Wednesday Joyce Mees was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. She served delicious cinnamon rolls she made. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Vera Salter, Judy Baumgart, Luella Teveldal, Kathy Larson and Darleen Cuppy. Pastor Nancy Rieke came later and served Communion. Darleen enjoyed the meatloaf dinner from the Senior Center. The Minnesota Twins played the Chicago Cubs at 1:30 p.m. Chicago won 8-2.
Thursday Rhonda LePage took Darleen to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop. Darleen enjoyed the beef tips over rice, peas and dessert from the Manor kitchen. There was no Twins game.
Friday Darleen enjoyed the hamburger deluxe, macaroni salad and peach sauce from the Senior Center. The Minnesota Twins played Cleveland at 1 p.m. The Twins won 4-2.
FridayeveningDarleen’s daughter Connie and Jeff Theurer and daughter Amy Thurston and three girls Stella Marleen, Emma Marie and Keira Minnie of Rosemount, MN stopped to visit for a while. They came for the Cuppy reunion on Saturday. A little later Amber Hudson and boys Trey and Daxton of Apple Valley, MN stopped in.
Saturday the Cuppy Family Reunion was held at the Ag building with potluck dinner and supper. So much delicious food was brought. Attending were Grandma Darleen Cuppy, Cheryl and Craig Van Asperen of Wessington, Becky and Mike Krueger, Rydell and Brock of Wessington Springs, Brian and Julie Bell, Carlie and Berklie of Mitchell, Ryan Bell Briggs and Ford of Harrisburg, Darryl and Nancy Cuppy of Harrold, Connie and Jeff Theurer and Amy Thurston, Stella Emma and Keia of Rosemount MN, Amber Hudson, Troy and Daxton of Apple Valley, MN, Carol and Jeff Collins of Castlewood, Brittany and Trent Luoma, and Ezra of Watertown, Ashley Collins of Watertown, Dylan and Lauren Collins of Webster, Cindy Zenk of Webster, Crisse Fruechke, Lily, Faith June and baby boy Wells Michael of Pipestone MN, Danny and Kaela Jo Zenk, Lucas, Owen and Luella Jo of Britton, Candi and Baleigh Sails, Deion James Sails, Athena Skye and baby True James, Cathy and Nora White of Sioux Falls. In the afternoon Nancy Cuppy and Cathy White had the kids and some adults play games on the baseball field, Tug of War, Fly Swatter Golf, etc. Looked like they were having fun! Most ate some supper and drove home. Connie and Jeff and the family of MN stayed overnight.
Sunday morning Connie drove Darleen to the Methodist Church. Lisa Edwards played a beautiful prelude. Pastor Cheri welcomed everyone and said a prayer. We and the choir, Chris Schimke, Darrel and Diane Winter, Laura Kieser, Lila Hoffman, Gretchen Burnison and Jan Krohmer sang “Great is the Lord”, “How Majestic is Your Name” and “Holy, Holy, Holy.” Several joys and concerns were shared. We all said the Lord’s Prayer.” The offering was taken and “Praise God for Whom All Blessing Flow” was sung. Jan Krohmer on flute and Lisa Edwards on piano played special music. Pastor Cheri’s sermon was “Ready, Get Set, Let’s Go” with scripture from Joshua 3:1-6. We sang the hymn “Wade in the Water.” Benediction was 1-Thesalonians 5:23-24.
Darleen enjoyed the roast pork dinner and pie from the Manor kitchen. Connie and Jeff, Dylan and Lauren Collins, and Ashley Collins stopped in the afternoon before starting home.
