Darleen enjoyed the cordon blue chicken dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen. In the evening Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Atlanta Braves. Atlanta won 10-6.
Tuesday Darleen enjoyed the hot beef dinner from the Senior Center. It was delivered by Joann Grohs. In the evening Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Atlanta Braves. The Atlanta Braves won again 8-6.
Wednesday’s 9 a.m. coffee was hosted by Judy Baumgart. She served frosted sugar cookies. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Lorraine Schultz, Luella Teveldal, Joyce Mees, Pastor Nancy Rieke, Norma Salter of Alpena and Darleen Cuppy.
Darleen enjoyed the BBQ chicken dinner and cheesecake from the Manor kitchen. Bingo was played at 2 p.m. Lyle Pawlowski called the numbers. Enjoying the afternoon were Ruth Jensen, Joyce Mees, Diane Carlson, Doris Deneke, Lynette Marken, Judy Baumgart, Luella Teveldal, Shirley Bender, Eileen Thomas, Marilyn Robbins and Darleen Cuppy. Delicious donuts were furnished by Lynette Marken with coffee.
Thursday Darleen Cuppy rode the bus to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for a 10:30 a.m. appointment. Candi and Baleigh Sails visited Darleen in the evening and brought some delicious, sweet corn and watermelon.
Friday Darleen enjoyed the roast pork dinner and apple crisp from the Senior Center. It was delivered by Joanne Grohs.
Friday at 6 p.m. Darleen Cuppy enjoyed watching the WWSSC Blackhawks play the Lead/Deadwood Gold Diggers football game on channel 382. The Blackhawks won big 426. Later Friday evening, Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Toronto Blue Jays. The Twins won 2-0.
Saturday morning Darleen Cuppy ordered groceries from the Springs Food Market. Ryan Jensen delivered them later in the forenoon. He said they were taking the family to the State Fair.
Sunday September 1 Darleen Cuppy, Rochelle Witte and Mary Lou Cameron rode the bus with Delia Atkinson to the Methodist Church. Lisa Edwards played a beautiful prelude on the piano. Pastor Cheri was gone so Paul Sheldon was leader. He welcomed everyone and said a prayer. The choir and congregation sang “Lord I Lift Your Name on High”, “Shine Jesus Shine” and “He is Exalted.” Some joys and concerns were shared. We sang “Happy Birthday Dear Friends.” The Offering was taken, and the Doxology was sung. Paul Sheldon shared the children’s message to two boys. Diane Winter and Julie Kraft sang a special duet of “The Lord Is My Shepard” with Lisa Edwardsonpiano.Wesang the hymn “Rock of Ages.” Pastor Cheri’s sermon Matthew 4 and Joshua 4-5 was given remotely on the big screen. We closed with the hymn “On Jordan’s Stormy Banks I Stand.”
Darleen Cuppy enjoyed the pork dinner and lemon pie from the Manor kitchen. In the evening Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Toronto Blue Jays. The Twins won 4-3.
