Saturday forenoon Darleen’s daughter Cathy White of Sioux Falls called. Nora White plays in the Lincoln School band – they went to Omaha, NE for a contest. Nora and the Lincoln band won first place! Cathy and Scott White’s other daughter, Ella is a cheerleader for the Lincoln School basketball team. Darleen enjoyed the Salisbury steak dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen. Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore won 7-2. Candi and Baleigh Sails brought Darleen a hamburger, coleslaw and strawberry sundae from the Cone Zone. It was all so delicious! They stayed to visit a while.

Sunday forenoon Darleen wanted to go to the Methodist church, but she was so dizzy she didn’t feel good. She watched the Christian Worship Hour on TV. Darleen enjoyed the turkey dinner and chocolate pie from the Manor kitchen. Later she watched the Minnesota Vikings play the Green Bay Packers. First quarter it was Vikings 14, Green Bay 0, second quarter 287, third quarter 28-14, and fourth quarter and final score 31-29.

Darleen’s twin sister Marleen Caffee of Rapid City called later in the afternoon. She couldn’t get the game in and wondered who had won. She enjoys the Minnesota Vikings and Twins like Darleen does, so Darleen gave her the scores. A win is great but that was scary!

“May you have a day filled with love and laughter.”
