Leap to Lane Festival Returns Saturday, June 21

Kick off summer with the 5th Annual Leap to Lane Festival, set to take place on Saturday, June 21, in Lane with festivities beginning at 2 p.m. Leap to Lane promises a full day of big entertainment in the small Jerauld County-town for visitors of all ages.

Music lovers, car enthusiasts, foodies and families looking for fun activities will find plenty to enjoy throughout the day.

Live Music All Afternoon and Evening
Enjoy live performances from Mogen’s Heros and Juice Box, who will take the stage with crowd-pleasing tunes. From classic covers to sing-along sets, the live music will create a fun backdrop for an enjoyable afternoon and evening.

Family-Friendly Activities
The Kids Fun Zone, complete with inflatable bounce houses and face painting, is designed with families in mind, offering activities that will keep the youngest attendees smiling all day long.

Vehicle Showcases
One of the highlights of Leap to Lane is the Car, Truck, Tractor, and Motorcycle Show. Attendees can stroll through rows of vintage and modern vehicles, admire restored classics, and chat with local owners about their unique rides.

Games, Challenges, and More
Festival-goers can test their skills in the cornhole tournament, try to dunk a local celebrity at the dunk tank, or cheer on participants in the Fireman’s Challenge, an event showcasing the skills of Alpena, Woonsocket and Wessington Springs Volunteer Fire Departments. Horse and buggy rides will also be available.

Silent Auction and Raffles
The event will also feature a silent auction, boasting a variety of goods and services donated by local businesses and residents, as well as gun and hog raffles.

Food and Refreshments
Leap to Lane wouldn’t be complete without great food. A concession stand will offer a variety of snacks and meals, while the crowd-favorite BBQ pork sandwiches prepared by Sheriff Weber will be up for grabs. Plenty of cold drinks, including a beer garden will also be available.

Giving Back to the Community
Proceeds from the Leap to Lane Festival will go toward the ongoing improvement of the Lane Community Center, helping to support upgrades aimed to benefit local residents year-round.
