Both captains for the Spartans Volleyball team, Remie Roduner and Logan Mohling have high expectations for the lady Spartans. Returning multiple starters this year, the Spartans are likely for a run into the postseason.
“I think we’re closer this year, we all get along great! And I think we play better together because of that.” said Mohling a returning starter that got injured seven games into the season last year.
Eyeing a comeback season, the senior is looking forward to a great year on the court.
“I’ve come a long way since my injury, and I’m just grateful to be back on the court, healthy and a part of the team.”
Roduner, a three-year starter, is creeping close on the very prestigious 1000 dig milestone.
“I’m just taking it game by game trying to play my best” she said. “Having it as a goal helps me stay motivated.”
She mentioned that with many multiple starters returning, they will use it to their advantage with the chemistry that is already built.
As for team goals, both captains can agree they can see this team going far.
“I know the playoffs will be tough, but we have potential” said Mohling.
Roduner explained, “I think we know what we are capable of and if we play how we know we can play, we could go pretty far.”
With chemistry transferred over from last season, Spartans have high hopes and expectations for the year.
