Alvin Krumvieda, “Alvie,” also know as Big Al to his family and friends, was born to Raymond and Mary (Hotzhauser) Krumvieda on September 21, 1941.
He passed away peacefully at Weskota Manor Avera Nursing Home in Wessington Springs, SD with his brother and sister by his side.
He grew up in White Lake, SD attended Sprick County School. He worked several years with Graves Construction building many of the bridges in the area. He moved to Sioux City, Iowa and worked in different packing plants and retired from the Sioux City Convention Center. After retiring he moved back to White Lake, SD in 1991 where he worked part time as a janitor for Wessington Springs Schools.
Alvie enjoyed going fishing with his brother Rich and friends on the Missouri River. He also enjoyed going to the farm, working cattle and helping during calving season. He always did his daily tour of the countryside checking on crops Alvie enjoyed having a cold beverage with family and friends. He was a good man, great father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and people he touched throughout his life.
Alvin was married to Gail Stanton and later divorced remaining friends. Through this union he is survived by four children and five grandchildren: three daughters Stacy Becker, Holly Ozanne and Renee Krumvieda; one son Troy Krumvieda; four grandsons Drew and Evan Becker, Nicholas Clark Jr. and Gage Little; one granddaughter Kenna Krumvieda; one brother Russ Krumvieda and Gayle; three sisters Ella Ross, Lois and Dan Mathey, Marge and Vince Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and three brothers.
