Shirley Winter, 82, of Rapid City, SD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Avantara Saint Cloud in Rapid City. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on March 18, 2025, at Osheim-Schmidt Funeral Home, in Rapid City, SD. Burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery.

Steven Jensen, 71, of Alpena, SD, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at the Spirit of Faith Church in Woonsocket. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Wessington Springs, SD.

Thomas “Tom” Olsen

Thomas R. “Tom” Olsen of Ames, IA and formerly of Wessington Springs and Sioux Falls, SD died March 5, 2025 at the age of 77. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation will begin one hour prior.

Dale Abraham

Dale Henry Abraham was born January 21, 1938, to Vernon (Cy) and Mildred (Harmdierks) Abraham in Wessington Springs, SD. There, he was raised with his two brothers on the family farm where they all learned drive, dedication, and hard work.

Nena Roberts, age 62, of Woonsocket, died Friday, February 28, 2025, at her residence. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Spirit of Faith Church in Woonsocket. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. A full obituary is forthcoming.

CECIL WHITE

Recently word was received about the death of Cecil White in Centralia, Washington. Cecil was a Master Thatcher who constructed the thatched roof on the Anne Hathaway cottage in Shakespeare Garden. He took a special interest in this project.

Louise Marie Alt, age 74, peacefully passed away at her home in rural Forestburg surrounded by her family and friends on February 18, 2025 after a six-year battle with breast cancer. A celebration of life is scheduled for July 26, 2025 at her farm located at 23128 408th Ave Forestburg SD, 57314.
