City at the Foothills

I wrote my news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson came to get it about 11 a.m. She brought me a get-well card and three beautiful peach-colored carnations from her and Kristi Hine. (The carnations are still beautiful!)

Tuesday I watched the Minnesota Twins play Cincinnati at 5:30 p.m. The Twins won 7-0. At 7 p.m. I watched the WSHS Coronation on the school channel. Congratulations to great grandson Brock Krueger for being crowned King, he is the son of Becky and Mike Krueger. Allysa Grohs was crowned Queen, she is the daughter of Todd and Hilary Grohs. The band’s performance was great!

Wednesday, I had so much pain in my left knee. Candi took me to Dr. Lim, and he gave me a cortisone shot. It helped a lot. Cheryl stopped to visit a while after golf.

Thursday, I enjoyed the pork chop dinner from the Manor kitchen. I put Fall decorations on the tables in the dining room.

Friday, I had physical therapy at 11 a.m. I enjoyed the noodle hot dish, green beans and apple crisp from the Manor kitchen. Friday evening, I watched the Homecoming football game on the school channel. The Blackhawks won 35-12! Later I watched the Minnesota Twins play the LA Angels. The Twins won 8-6.

Saturday when I went to get my mail, it was raining very hard! I haven’t heard how much we got. I watched the Minnesota Twins play the LA Angels. The LA Angels won 1-0.

Sunday, I watched the Christian Worship Hour with Pastor Harold Salem and the service from the Sioux Falls Lutheran Church in the forenoon.

I enjoyed the Swiss steak dinner and cherry pie from the Manor kitchen. I watched the Minnesota Twins play the LA Angels at 1 p.m. The Twins won 9-4.

Elaine Roetman stopped in Sunday afternoon with the Methodist Church bulletin.

“May you have a day filled with love and laughter.”
