As I write my Cuppy’s Corner News this Monday morning, we are having a blizzard! Last Monday Delia got my news and said it was a cold day. Marlys Shryock visited me Monday afternoon. Later I was happy Reina Peterson Ford stopped in to visit awhile too.

Tuesday was a quiet day. Darleen Cuppy enjoyed the chicken dinner and carrot cake from the Manor kitchen.

Darleen’s daughters Cheryl Van Asperen and Candi Sails called in the evening.

Wednesday Lorraine Schultz was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. She served delicious cinnamon bread and blueberry muffins. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Darleen Higgins, Vera Salter, Judy Baumgart, Kathy Larson, Pastor Nancy Rieke, Joyce Mees and Darleen Cuppy. Pastor Nancy served Communion.

Darleen enjoyed the spaghetti dinner from the Manor kitchen. At 2 p.m. cards were played in the south dining room. Enjoying the afternoon were Darleen Higgins, Joyce Mees, Ruth Jensen, Marilyn Robbins, Shirley Bender, Lynette Marken, Marlys Shryock and Darleen Cuppy. Coffee and cookies were served by Shirley Bender.

Thursday Darleen Cuppy rode the bus to Angie Mentzer’s for a 10:30 a.m. appointment to get her hair done. Darleen enjoyed the Philly beef sandwich dinner from the Manor kitchen. Darleen enjoyed watching the SD Lady Jacks play Iowa. The Jacks lost 65-82.

Friday Darleen put some Easter decorations by her door. Darleen had the fish nuggets, sweet potato fries and green beans dinner from the Manor kitchen. Darleen’s son Darryl called to visit in the evening. He lives in Harrold and works for Peitz Company in Pierre.

Saturday was a blustery day. Darleen enjoyed the beef stew dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen.

Sunday was another very blustery day. Darleen stayed home and watched the Palm Sunday Service on TV on the Christian Worship Hour with Pastor Harold Salem and the service from the Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Darleen enjoyed the turkey dinner and pie from the Manor kitchen.
