“Cuppys Corner”

Darleen wrote her news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon.

Darleen enjoyed the Mr. Rib sandwich dinner and fruit cocktail from the Senior Center, delivered by Joanne Grohs. Darleen’s granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger got some things Darleen needed and stayed to visit a while. Later in the evening Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Pittsburg Phillies. It was supposed to start at 6:30 p.m. but had a rain delay and started at 8:30 p.m. The Twins won 7-2.

Tuesday Darleen enjoyed the chicken noodle hot dish, lettuce salad and Jello from the Senior Center delivered by Joanne Grohs. In the evening Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins and the Pittsburg Phillies. Pittsburg won 3-0.

Vera Salter was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee on Wednesday. She served delicious caramel rolls made by Norma Salter. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Lorraine Schultz, Judy Baumgart, Luella Teveldal, Kathy Larson, Joyce Mees and Darleen Cuppy.

The Minnesota Twins and the Pittsburg Phillies played at noon. The Twins won 5-4. In the evening Candi and Baleigh stopped with some medicine for Darleen’s cough and cold.

Thursday Darleen rode the bus with Jim Deines to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for an 11:30 a.m. appointment.

Darleen enjoyed the Philly beef sandwich, peas and pudding from the Manor kitchen. No Twins game Thursday.

Friday Reina Peterson Ford delivered Darleen’s order from Lewis Drug. Later Darleen ordered groceries from Springs Food Market and Ryan Jensen delivered them at 5 p.m. Darleen appreciated the service.

Darleen enjoyed the brat, potato salad and fruit cocktail from the Manor kitchen. Doris Deneke stopped in to visit in the afternoon. In the evening Darleen enjoyed watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Paris. Darleen thinks it is so awesome we can watch the Olympics in Paris on TV! The Minnesota Twins played the Detroit Tigers. The Twins won 9-3.

Saturday Darleen enjoyed the Salisbury steak dinner from the Manor kitchen. Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Detroit Tigers in the evening. Detroit won 7-2. Later Darleen watched some more Olympics from Paris.

Sunday Darleen didn’t go to church since she is coming down with a cold and not feeling very good. She did watch the Christian Worship Hour and the Lutheran Church Service on TV. Darleen enjoyed the turkey dinner and blueberry pie from the Manor kitchen. Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Detroit Tigers at 12:30 p.m. The Twins won 5-0. Darleen watched some more Olympic games from Paris in the evening.
