Last Monday my granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger did my Cuppy’s Corner News on her computer. She pushed a button, and it went to the True Dakotan! Technology is so amazing! I enjoyed the beef stroganoff, carrots and grapes from the Manor kitchen for dinner. Elaine Roetman came in the evening with the Methodist church bulletin and visited for a while.
Tuesday, I enjoyed the fried chicken dinner and carrot cake from the Manor kitchen. I went to physical therapy at 1 p.m. with Brittany. Kelly Knippling Gran came at 1:15 p.m. and did my laundry, vacuumed, etc. My daughter Candi Sails and Baleigh came in the evening and brought me a cheeseburger and coleslaw from the Cone Zone and visited a bit.
Wednesday Lorraine Schultz was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. She servedcupcakes.Enjoying the food and fellowship were Judy Baumgart, Luella Teveldal, Kathy Larson, Joyce Mees and me. I enjoyed the spaghetti dinner and rhubarb cake from the Manor kitchen. At 2 p.m. bingo was played in the dining room. Shirley Bender called the numbers. Attending was Luella Teveldal, Judy Baumgart, Joyce Mees, Marilyn Robbins, Eileen Kraft Thomas, and me. Coffee, a delicious cake dessert and brownies were served by Marilyn Robbins.
Thursday, I enjoyed the Philly beef sandwich, peas, hash browns and cookie salad dessert from the Manor kitchen. I went for a walk in the late afternoon. We have had nice fall weather.
Friday, I had a brat, potato salad and strawberries from the Manor kitchen. I went to PT with Jen Jensen at 1:45 p.m. Friday evening my daughter Cindy called to let me know the SDSU Jacks were playing basketball against Long Beach State. SDSU Jacks won 80-78!
Saturday, I enjoyed the Salisbury steak dinner and chocolate cake from the Manor kitchen. At 1 p.m. I watched the SDSU Jacks and the NDSU Hawks play football. The SDSU Jacks won big 387. Saturday evening my granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger helped do several things for me.
Sunday, I rode the bus to the Methodist Church. Also riding was Rochelle WitteandElaineRoetman. Jim Deines was driving the bus. The prelude was sung by Lila Hoffman and Chris Schimke. They sang “God Bless the USA.” Lisa Edwards played the piano. Pastor Cheri Van Gorp welcomed everyone and said a prayer. We all sang “How Great Thou Art.” Several joys and concerns were shared, and we all said the Lord’s Prayer. The Offering was taken, and we sang the Doxology. The choir sang “America.” Choir members are Jan Krohmer, Sandy Wenzel, Diane Winter, Lila Hoffman, Julie Kraft, Gretchen Burnison, Darrel Winter, Doug Van Gorp, and Chris Schimke with Lisa Edwards on the piano. Pastor Cheri’s sermon was Redemption with scripture from Exodus 1. We closed with the hymn “My Hope Is Built.”
I enjoyed the pork roast dinner and cherry pie from the Manor kitchen. Then I watched the Minnesota Vikings play the Jaguars. The Vikings won 12-7.
