I wrote my Cuppy’s Corner News Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon Tuesday was April 1st, April Fools Day! We got a layer of snow. I enjoyed the chicken dinner and carrot cake from the Manor kitchen. My granddaughter Baleigh Sails came after school and for supper. Candi Sails was working in Mitchell.
Wednesday April 2nd Lorraine Schultz was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. She had small blue plates and napkins with two blue doves and two red hearts with a message “There is a warm and friendly welcome here.” Lorraine served cinnamon rolls and mini candy bars. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Kathy Larson, Joyce Mees, Luella Teveldal, Judy Baumgart and me. My granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger helped me with several things in the evening. I am very grateful.
Thursday, I rode the bus to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for my 10:30 a.m. appointment. I enjoyed the Philly beef sandwich dinner and dessert from the Manor kitchen.

Sunday, I rode the bus to the Methodist Church with Joanne Grohs. Also riding was Rochelle Witte and Roger Cashman. Lisa Edwards played a beautiful prelude. The welcome and prayer was said by Pastor Cheri Van Gorp. We sang the hymn “Glorify Thy Name.” Quite a few children went down for the children’s message with Pastor Cheri. Then they went to Sunday School with Rod Huisman. Several joys and concerns were shared. We all said the Lord’s Prayer. Pastor Cheri’s sermon was “I am the Resurrection and the Life” from John 11:1-45. Communion was served by Pastor Cheri and Gerald Kraft. We closed with the hymn “Victory in Jesus.” The Benediction was Jude 24-25.
I enjoyed the turkey dinner and pie from the Manor kitchen. I watched the Minnesota Twins and Houston Astros baseball game at 1 p.m. The Houston Astros won 9-7.
