Foothills News: “Cuppy’s Corner”

I wrote my Cuppy’s Corner News Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. I enjoyed the roast pork dinner and pudding from the Manor kitchen. My granddaughter Baleigh Sails came after school. The Minnesota Twins didn’t have a game. They have been winning most of their games!

Tuesday, I enjoyed the fried chicken dinner and carrot cake from the Manor kitchen. At 2:30 p.m. the Methodist Women’s Fellowship met in our dining room. Attending were Mary Lou Cameron, Pastor Cheri Van Gorp, Darleen Cuppy, Diane Winter, Rochelle Witte, Sandy Wenzel, Mary Jane Belz, Cheryl Manthei and Elaine Roetman. Hostesses were Mary Jane Belz and Sandy Wenzel. They served crackers with cheese and salami, and a delicious strawberry dessert with cool whip, coffee and tea. Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. was Awards night for the school. I was so disappointed it wasn’t on the school channel on TV. My granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger put a picture on Facebook of her presenting our Weeldreyer Scholarship to Kennedy Kolousek.

At Wednesday’s 9 a.m. coffee Darleen Cuppy was hostess. I had pretty, light blue plates and small napkins with colorful polka dots. I served bismarks, etc. from Sweet Grass. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Joyce Mees, Luella Teveldal, Lorraine Schultz and Kathy Brandenburg. Thanks to Lorraine Schultz for making and serving the coffee. Also, thanks to my daughter Candi Sails for getting the donuts, etc. for me. I enjoyed the beef stew dinner from the Senior Center Wednesday noon. It was delivered by Joanne Grohs. Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Baltimore Orioles. The Twins won 8-6. The Twins have won 10 straight games!

Thursday, I rode the bus to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for a 10:30 a.m. appointment. We had a nice rain, I haven’t heard how much we got. I enjoyed the Philly beef dinner and cookie salad dessert from the Manor kitchen. The Minnesota Twins played the Baltimore Orioles. The Twins won 4-0.

On Friday, I enjoyed the meatloaf dinner from the Senior Center. It was delivered by Joanne Grohs. Friday at 7 p.m. I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Milwaukee Brewers. The Twins won 3-0.

Saturday, I enjoyed the Salisbury steak dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen. It was a nice day, so I went out for a walk in the afternoon. The Twins played the Milwaukee Brewers, but I couldn’t get it on my TV.

Sunday, I didn’t go to church since I didn’t feel very good. I did watch the Christian Worship Hour with Pastor Salem on TV. I enjoyed the turkey dinner and pie from the Manor kitchen. I watched the Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers. The Twins lost 2-5.

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
