Last week I didn’t write my news. The True Dakotan was printed early so Editor Kristi Hine and Delia and other family could go on a real vacation. I think they went to Montana. I saw some pictures on Facebook, it looked like they had a great time!
Monday evening, I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Athletics in Sacramento, CA. The Twins won big 10-4!

Wednesday Lorraine Schultz was hostess for the 9 a.m. coffee. I didn’t feel good, so I didn’t go. Also, I didn’t go to the 2 p.m. bingo. Wednesday afternoon my daughter Cheryl Van Asperen of Huron stopped in with a piece of pie for me. She makes delicious pies! She was going to play golf with her friend Joyce Krueger. Sunday, I rode the bus to the Methodist Church with Delia Atkinson. Others riding were Rochelle Witte and Elaine Roetman. Lisa Edwards played a beautiful prelude. Pastor Cheri Van Gorp welcomed everyone and said a prayer. The choir, Jan Krohmer director, Doug Van Gorp, Darrel Winter, Diane Winter, Gretchen Burnison, Julie Kraft, Lila Hoffman, and Laura Kieser sang “All Hail the Power of Jesus Name.” Several joys and concerns were shared. The Offering was taken by Blake Willman and Doug Van Gorp while we sang “I’m Gonna Sing When the Spirit Says Sing.” Pastor Cheri’s sermon was Pour Out Your Spirit Lord from scripture Acts 2. We closed singing “Onward Christian Soldiers.”
