I wrote my news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. My granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger went with me to Sara Cashman CNP for a checkup Monday afternoon.

Tuesday, I ordered groceries from Springs Food Market. I appreciate the service. Tuesday noon I enjoyed the shredded pork sandwich, tator tots, peas and pudding from the Manor kitchen. My granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger helped me with several things Tuesday evening. I am very grateful. Tuesday evening, I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds won 6-5.

Wednesday, I was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. I had pretty, light blue plates with pink and white striped napkins. I served donuts and cinnamon rolls. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Joyce Mees, Luella Teveldal, Kathy Brandenburg, Lorraine Schultz, Judy Baumgart and our mail lady. Thanks to Lorraine Schultz for making and serving the coffee. Wednesday noon, Jim Deines delivered a cheeseburger, baked beans and ice cream from the Senior Center. (They won’t be delivering anymore.) Bingo was played at 2 p.m. in the dining room. Marilyn Robbins called the numbers. Enjoying the afternoon were Ruth Jensen, Joyce Mees, Kathy Brandenburg, Darleen Cuppy, Judy Baumgart, Doris Deneke and Luella Teveldal. Furnishing cookies for coffee time were Ruth Jensen and Judy Baumgart.

Thursday, I rode the bus to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for a 10:30 a.m. appointment for a shampoo and set. I enjoyed the meatloaf dinner from the Manor kitchen. I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Cincinnatti Reds at 1:30 p.m. The Twins won big 12-5!! My daughter Candi Sails came in the evening with some things I needed and stayed to visit a while.

Friday was a very hot day. Jim Deines delivered a chicken strip, coleslaw and two big cookies dinner from the Senior Center. Marla Ness is a very good cook! Friday evening, I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers won big 17-6.

Saturday, I enjoyed a meatloaf dinner. Kathy Brandenburg came to visit me. We enjoyed some tea and a donut.

Sunday, I called the bus for a ride to the Methodist church. They said the bus wouldn’t come. So, I watched the Christian Worship Hour with Pastor Salem on TV. I enjoyed the pork roast dinner and pie from the Manor kitchen. At 1 p.m. the Minnesota Twins played the Milwaukee Brewers. Milwaukee won 9-8. I went for a walk in the evening.
