Foothills News: “Cuppy’s Corner”

I wrote my news Monday morning. Editor Kristi Hine came to get it. Her mother Delia Atkinson and sisters Jean Ferguson and Cathy Perry were going on a trip together to Hamilton, Montana. I enjoyed the hamburger dinner and peach sauce from the Manor kitchen. Monday night I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Los Angeles Dodgers. LA Dodgers won 5-2.

Tuesday, I enjoyed the ham dinner from the Manor kitchen. I got lots of mail ready to send to my family and friends. I was happy Pastor Cheri Van Gorp came to visit in the afternoon. I had missed church several Sundays. She showed me the Irish dance on the phone that Leah Kraft Thomas daughters did on Sunday. In the evening, I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Twins won 10-7.

Wednesday, July 23 Kathy Brandenburg was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. She served delicious coffeecake and a cheese stick. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Judy Baumgart, Darleen Cuppy, Joyce Mees, Luella Teveldal, and Lorraine Schultz. Thanks to Lorraine for making and serving the coffee.

I enjoyed the roast beef dinner from the Manor kitchen. At 3 p.m. I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Los Angeles Dodgers. The LA Dodgers won 4-3. My granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger helped me with several things in the evening. I am very grateful. I called my daughter, Cathy Cuppy White, in Sioux Falls in the evening. I saw on the news Sioux Falls had lots of flooding. Cathy said where they live was good, but some places were flooded.

Thursday, I rode the bus to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for my 10:30 a.m. appointment. At noon I enjoyed the slice of pizza and lettuce salad from the Manor kitchen. I enjoyed a Pepsi with it. No Twins game today.

Friday, I had the turkey dinner and pudding for dinner. Lewis Drug delivered my order. At 7 p.m. I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Washington Nationals. The Twins won 1-0.

Saturday, I enjoyed one of my favorite meals from the Manor kitchen. It was BBQ ribs, baked beans, coleslaw and cornbread. In the evening, I watched the Minnesota Twins play against the Washington Nationals. The Nationals won big, 7-3.

Sunday, I watched the Christian Worship Hour with Pastor Salem on TV. I enjoyed the roast beef dinner and blueberry pie from the Manor kitchen. Sunday afternoon I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Washington Nationals. Washington won big again, 7-2.

Thanks to Elaine Roetman for bringing me the Methodist Church bulletin and visiting awhile.

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
