I wrote my news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson came to get it later in the forenoon. I enjoyed the roast beef dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen. Elaine Roetman stopped in with the church bulletin. I was grateful my grandson Brock Krueger walked with me to the foot doctor.
Pastor Cheri Van Gorp stopped in to visit me Tuesday forenoon. She had been to the Manor; it was Veterans Day. I am very proud of my family that have served in the military; my dad Mike Weeldreyer served in the Army, four brothers served – Elmer - Army, Harvey – Marines, Roger – Navy and Bob – Army. Also, two grandsons Deion Sails – Army and Brandon Cuppy – Air Force. At 7 p.m. Veterans Day I watched the SDSU Lady Jacks play Murry State. The Lady Jacks won big 91-60.
Lorraine Schultz was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee Wednesday November 12. She had orange plates and napkins with colorful fall leaves on them. She served a delicious coffeecake, puff popcorn and mini candy bars. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Joyce Mees, Darleen Cuppy, Kathy Brandenburg, Luella Teveldal, Judy Baumgart and Millie our mail lady. I enjoyed the chicken dinner and ice cream from the Manor kitchen.
Thursday, I rode the bus with Joanne Grohs to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for my 10:30 a.m. appointment.
I enjoyed the beef tips on rice, peas and cookies for dinner from the Manor kitchen.
I watched all the football playoff games at the Dome Thursday, Friday and Saturday. At 5 p.m. Saturday Sioux Falls Lincoln played Brandon Valley. My granddaughter Ella Darleen is one of the cheerleaders for Sioux Falls Lincoln. She is the daughter of Cathy (Cuppy) and Scott White. Their daughter Nora plays in the band.
Sunday, I watched the Christian Worship Hour with Pastor Salem on TV. I enjoyed the roast pork dinner and pie. I watched the MN Vikings play the Chicago Bears. The Bears won 19-17 over the Vikings. I was disappointed. My daughter Candi Sails and friend Reina Peterson Ford had gone to the bingo and spaghetti feed to support Tregen Jensen’s senior project. They brought me a container of spaghetti too.
