Today is December 1st, the start of a very busy and very exciting month!
I wrote my news Monday morning, and Delia got it later in the forenoon. I enjoyed the hamburger, fries and sauce from the Manor kitchen.
Tuesday was a very blustery day! I enjoyed the ham dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen. Kathy Brandenburg visited me in the afternoon. Later I took a birthday card to Joyce Mees for her 95th birthday.
We didn’t have 9 a.m. coffee on Wednesday since several ladies were sick with the flu.
Thursday was Thanksgiving Day. My daughter Connie Theurer in Rosemount, MN called to wish me a Happy Thanksgiving. She and her husband Jeff were having their daughter Amber and sons Trey and Daxton and Amy and girls Stella and Emma and Keira for Thanksgiving dinner. My daughter Candi and Leon had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner at their home. Their son Deion Sails and children Athena Skye and True James took Grandma Dar over to Candi and Leon’s house. Candi served turkey and ham, potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, etc. For dessert there was pumpkin, peach and pecan pies and a yellow bundt cake. They sent lots of food home with me. I have enjoyed it very much!
Friday my granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger got some groceries I needed. I enjoyed Thanksgiving leftovers for dinner and supper!
Saturday was a very blustery day. I enjoyed BBQ ribs, baked beans, etc. from the Manor kitchen (one of my favorite meals.) Nancy Cuppy and her daughter Nicole stopped to visit a short time. They were driving to Sioux Falls to visit Cathy, Ella and Nora.
Sunday, I watched the Christian Worship Hour with Pastor Salem preaching on TV. I enjoyed the pork dinner and pie from the Manor kitchen. At 3 p.m. I watched the MN Vikings play the Seattle Seahawks. The Vikings had a terrible game, got beat 260!
