Foothills News: “Cuppy’s Corner”

On Monday, I wrote my news, my daughter Candi Sails helped me. Delia picked it up from my hospital room. She brought me 4 frosted cookies; three snowmen and one deer, they are so cute! In the evening, Becky Bell-Krueger stopped to visit.

Tuesday, Pastor Cheri stopped in to visit and said a prayer for me. At 5 p.m. the boys and girls played DeSmet in basketball. Cheryl and Craig Van Asperen stopped in with a delicious tray of Christmas cookies and to visit.

Wednesday, I usually join the ladies for coffee hour, but I am still in the hospital. The nurses and doctors have all been so kind and helpful, and the food is very good. The dining staff always places a Christmas tray liner, and it always cheers me up.

Thursday, I got my hair done by Sandy Wolfcale because I was still in the hospital.

Friday, I was discharged and got home from the hospital about 5 p.m. Candi helped me get settled in again. It felt so good to be home!

Saturday, I watched basketball with Spartans vs. Howard Tigers. The JV played at 1 p.m. and the Spartan girls won 344! The girls’ varsity played next and won 50-44!

Sunday, I didn’t go to church because I was still worn out. I watched the Christian Worship Hour on TV. At noon the Vikings played the NY Giants, and the Vikings won!
