On Monday, February 2, 2026, Cindy was still in Wessington Springs and helped me put up some décor. She put up some family pictures on my wall. I had OT with Jayden and PT with Jen. For breakfast, I had cream of wheat and a muffin. I had a whirlpool bath. For lunch we had roast beef, mashed potatoes, and squash. In the afternoon, I played BINGO and won 4 times. Supper was chili and a cinnamon roll, so tasty, especially with chocolate milk! Becky stopped in after her bus route.
On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, I had oatmeal and raisins and bacon. I had exercises with Jayden from 9-9:30am. For lunch we ate shredded pork with cheesy potatoes. In the afternoon, we decorated some bags in preparation for Valentine’s Day. Becky stopped quickly after her bus route to make sure I was watching the Spartans on tv. They played Iroquois-Lake Preston Sharks. The varsity girls won their game over the Sharks, 49-31. The varsity boys also won, defeating the Sharks, 62-52. The little cheerleaders did a good job at half-time. For supper we had broccoli cheese soup and a sandwich.
On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, I did exercises with Jen Jensen. Sandy Wolfcale was in and washed and set my hair. For lunch we ate fried chicken and potato salad. I talked with Cindy on videochat. I attended BINGO in the afternoon. Afterwards, we enjoyed chocolate cake and ice cream. Becky stopped in with some more birthday cards I had received. For supper we ate beef salad sandwich with chips and jell-o with fruit.
Thursday, February 5, 2026, I had cream of wheat for breakfast. I had PT from 9-9:30am. I went to the whirlpool bath. Dinner was beef tips in gravy. I enjoyed cheering the Spartans on from my recliner and watching them on tv. The Spartans were playing down in Armour as they took on the TDA Nighthawks. The girls lost a close game, 45-42. The boys defeated the Nighthawks, 71-34. I sure appreciate being able to watch the games. Becky stopped in the evening to watch some of the games with me and look at my pretty cards.
On Friday morning, Cheryl came to visit. She helped me with some paperwork. Cheryl stayed and ate the goulash lunch with me. I played BINGO in the afternoon. Becky stopped in while I was playing BINGO after teacher in-service and brought the save the date for my granddaughter, Ashley Collin’s wedding on October 31, 2026. I watched the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics.
On Saturday, February 7, 2026, I had cocoa wheat, toast, and chocolate milk. For lunch we ate hot dogs and macaroni & cheese. I watched ice skating and skiing on tv.
Sunday, February 8, I had oatmeal, a banana, a caramel roll, and chocolate milk. It tasted so good. For dinner we had pork, potatoes and gravy. I attended church led by the Zion Lutheran Church in the dining room at 3pm. We enjoyed cake and ice cream after church. I didn’t really care which team won the Super Bowl. I was just glad both teams scored. Becky stopped in after she got home from a quick trip to Nebraska. She and Mike watched Brock triple jump in Lincoln and then got to watch Carlie and FDC perform in the finals at Papillion-La Vista South. Becky told me that #76 for Seattle Seahawks is Gray Zabel from Pierre, SD. That’s exciting. She watched the second half of the football game with me. We chuckled that the birthday card she sent me in the mail took over a week to get delivered to me. But I got some “good mail”. Both Cindy and Candi called in to see me via videochat. I ended the evening watching the Olympics after the Super Bowl.
