On Monday, February 23, 2026, Grandma had cream of wheat for breakfast with a boiled egg and blueberry muffin. She had a whirlpool bath. In the afternoon, grandma played BINGO and won three times. Dinner was roast beef and potatoes and gravy. Cindy called on video chat and Becky stopped out to visit.
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, breakfast was oatmeal with raisins and bacon. Dr. Limm stopped in to see grandma. He said she was doing good. Becky stopped after her bus route and got me ready to watch the Spartan girls play DeSmet. She reminded me it would be on after supper at 7pm. The Spartans played hard but came up short losing 58-51. They had a great season, and I am so thankful that I could watch most of the games on Spartans channel 23, here in Weskota.
Wednesday, February 25, 2026, grandma had a very good and busy day. For breakfast grandma ate cocoa wheats and raisins. She enjoyed getting her hair trimmed and a perm. She said it sure feels good. For dinner, she enjoyed barbeques, potato salad, cooked asparagus, and ice cream. She played BINGO in the afternoon and won four times. Becky stopped and took a picture of grandma with her new hairdo.
On Thursday, February 26, 2026, grandma enjoyed a whirlpool bath. Breakfast was cream of wheat. Grandma got a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered from Ranchy Stems, as part of her birthday gift from Jeff and Connie. They were so beautiful, grandma shared them with the ladies at her table in the dining room. The bouquet had tulips, carnations, and some other pretty pink flowers. Becky stopped after bus route and then carried them back to my room. We showed them to Cindy on the Videochat. Cindy is in MN for the state wrestling match, as her grandson, Mason Fruechte is wrestling and won his first match. Becky helped Grandma FaceTime Connie to show her the flowers.
On Friday, February 27, 2026, grandma had a good breakfast of pancakes, sausage, and eggs in maple syrup. For dinner, grandma had fish nuggets, tater tots, and mixed fruit. The Spartans played SCW Blackhawks. The boys beat the Blackhawks 6354.
On Saturday, February 28, 2026, breakfast was cocoa wheats and toast. For dinner, grandma ate hot dogs, mac -ncheese, and potato salad. Grandma did her exercises after dinner. Grandma received her influenza shot. Grandma wants to wish her friend, Luella Teveldal a happy birthday and hopes she had a wonderful birthday celebration with family and friends. Candi stopped in for a visit. Mason Fruechte got 4th place at the MN state wrestling tournament. He is Darleen’s greatgrandson and grandson for Cindy and Fred Zenk. He goes to Pipestone HS. Great-granddaughter, Carlie Bell and her show choir group, FDC, received 2nd runner-up at the Standing O Show Choir competition at SF O’ Gorman HS.
Sunday, March 1, 2026, grandma had oatmeal & raisins, caramel roll, and chocolate milk for breakfast. For Sunday dinner, she ate pork, potatoes and gravy, green beans, ice cream and pie. She enjoys her pie on Sundays. Grandma attended church at 3pm, led by Pastor Easter from the Baptist Church. Joyce Krueger joined her for the service. Mike, Becky, and Brock stopped in and helped with some decorations and stayed to visit. Brock left to go back to DSU. For supper, grandma enjoyed soup and a sandwich.
