On Tuesday, June 2, Becky worked at the Ag Building for the election. On Wednesday, June 3, Grandma enjoyed BINGO. On Thursday, June 4, the Owls had their first home game at David Jost Memorial Field. The game was delayed by the weather, and the Owls were ahead 3-0. We are thankful for the moisture and that the majority got the moisture without any damage. The Owls will continue that game in Plankinton on Sunday, June 28 for the other game is already scheduled then. On Friday, June 5, grandma enjoyed BINGO and won three times. She has good luck and enjoys playing.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Becky stopped out to see Grandma and they went outside into the patio/garden. They enjoyed a little fresh air before it got too hot out. They admired the pepper plants, tomato plants, and the radishes that are coming up in the raised garden bed. The rose bushes are all full bloom and beautiful pink color. Nicole Cuppy stopped in to visit. She had flown into Aberdeen airport and attended the dance recital of Kyle Cuppy’s twin girls. Nicole showed grandma the cute dance outfits that the girls had to wear. The theme was family game night. Nicole herself danced for many years with the dance studio in Pierre. Grandma enjoyed the BBQ ribs, baked beans, and potato salad served for lunch.
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, Becky stopped out to take grandma outside again for some fresh air. There was a nice breeze, and it wasn’t too hot. We admired all the different flowers planted around the patio. Grandma enjoyed the pork chop meal as they were moist and could be cut with a fork. She enjoyed pie. The 3pm church service was the Foothills Bible Church. Becky told Grandma that the Owls will be playing at 5 p.m. today. Great-grandson, Brock Krueger is playing with the team this year. Grandpa Howie enjoyed the Owls and passing out the quarters for foul balls for many years. The foul ball return system that he made is still used in the grandstand today.
