On Sunday, June 14, 2026, Mike and Becky Krueger drove to Burke, SD, to watch the Springs Owls face the Burke Bombers. Brock played at first base. The Owls won, 4-2.
On Monday, June 15, 2026, there was fun and fitness in the morning after her breakfast of cocoa wheats, half a boiled egg, and half a muffin. Then in the afternoon, Grandma went to Bingo. After winning a couple games, she got to enjoy a cookie and the delicious soft serve ice cream. For supper, they served broccoli and cheese soup, ground meat sandwich, apple sauce, and of course that delicious glass of chocolate milk. Becky stopped in to visit Grandma Dar, after the games were called due to the rain. She was announcing the ballgames for the Teeners teams as they hosted Letcher up at David Jost Memorial Field. On Tuesday, June 16. 2026, Happy birthday to grandma’s great grandson Brock Krueger. For breakfast, grandma enjoyed cocoa wheats again with a muffin and egg. At 10 a.m., members of the local 4-H club brought some of their pets and animals out to visit. Grandma didn’t get down to see the animals, but recalls being in 4H herself and some of her kids were involved in 4H. For lunch she enjoyed a barbeque, baked beans, potatoes, and a bowl of peaches. Brock and Becky stopped in with some birthday cookie that Joyce Krueger made and a dish of ice cream from Cone Zone. Grandma said the cookie was so delicious. They were joined on the video chat by Cindy Zenk, who was at a ballgame and then Connie Theurer, from MN.
On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, there was the reading of the True Dakotan at 10 a.m. and then Bingo in the afternoon. Grandma sure appreciates getting her fingernails trimmed and painted. Her nails look great, especially painted pink. Grandma Dar enjoyed a nice visit from her nephew, Larry Caffee.
On Thursday, June 18, 2026, there was fun and fitness at 10:30.
On Friday, June 19, 2026, grandma and the residents had a surprise at 11am and then she attended Bingo in the afternoon.
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, Becky went to Sioux Falls to watch Berklie Bell play in a softball tournament. Berklie’s dad, Brian Bell, helps coach. Becky and Julie were joined for the second game by Ryan, Alisha, and Ford Bell of Harrisburg. Berklie’s team won all three games on Saturday. She will continue to play on Sunday.
On Sunday, June 21, 2026, Happy Father’s Day to all out there. We are thankful for the great men in our family. Grandma attended church service delivered by Templeton members at 3 p.m. and enjoyed the fellowship and soft serve ice cream afterwards. Mike and Becky stopped out before supper to visit. We had a nice rain the entire day. The Owls baseball game was rained out, with a reschedule date to be determined. Becky went uptown to get a few items for Grandma and brought them back after supper. Becky showed Grandma Dar the pictures of Berklie’s team, as they won their division in the SF tournament.
