Foothills News: “Cuppy’s Corner”

On Monday, June 22, 2026, breakfast was oatmeal and raisins, with toast and chocolate milk. For dinner they served hamburgers. For supper they had hotdish and a cup of peaches.

On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, breakfast was malto- meal, bacon, and a donut. For lunch they had baked ham with au Gratin potatoes. They also had cake. There was some special music that was very enjoyable. They served ice cream and a cookie afterwards. Candi stopped to visit. For supper, grandma had goulash, cheesy cauliflower and pears.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Becky stopped in and read the True Dakotan to Grandma Dar. Supper was broccoli cheese soup with minced meat sandwich, along with applesauce and chocolate milk.

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, breakfast was oatmeal and raisins along with a Danish. Lunch was pork fritter with mashed potatoes and gravy. The VBS kids came to share their special music. Becky stopped and we went outside to the back patio. We enjoyed the beautiful flowers in the various pots, the beautiful rose bushes, and the raised garden with radishes, tomatoes, and a couple pepper plants. The Owls played the KWL Nationals. Supper was chicken casserole with broccoli and ice cream.

On Friday, June 26, 2026, breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles. The Teeners played Platte. There were two games and WS lost them both. Candi stopped after work and we did a VideoChat with Connie, Cindy, Candi, and Becky. Grandma enjoyed a Pepsi. For lunch they served Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. They also had banana cream pie. Supper was cheese ravioli, lettuce salad, and a dish of fruit.

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, breakfast was cream of wheat and toast. Lunch was ribs, baked beans, potato salad, and a cup of fruit. Supper was sloppy joe, tri-tators, and corn.

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, Becky stopped after church. We went out on the patio to check on things after the big rain over night. There were reports of 1.5-2 inches of rain, which was so welcomed. The birds were singing and there was a light breeze. It is still humid. We were able to do a FaceTime with Ashley Collins of Watertown. Ashley is the daughter of Jeff & Carol (Cuppy) Collins. On Sunday, they serve pie with lunch. Today’s pie was blueberry with whip cream. OSLC led the church service at 3pm.
