Our local talent was well represented last week: Darrel Deneke and Laura Kieser’s award winning wildlife photos, Dustin Evans performing, Caroline Witte’s riding and roping, Jerauld 4H entries, Springside machinery with Todd & Jerry, Ann Scheel’s Pampered Chef booth, Heather’s Sweet Grass delectables, and Cindy’s huge turtle — huge thanks to all who make our Fair so memorable and enjoyable!
Other highlights included The Cotten Kings singing, the Senate majority leader John Thune, and the annual Veterans program with Gov. & Mrs. Rhoden featuring a 99 year-old South Dakota resident who served in World War II aboard the destroyer that led the USS Missouri battleship into Tokyo Bay for the German surrender.
