The Wessington Springs Senior Citizen’s Center had a meeting on March 11, 2024. March 3rd bingo was played, and a soup supper was enjoyed by many members of the community. If you missed out on that fun afternoon, there is another opportunity to enjoy playing bingo on Sunday, April 7 from 2-4 p.m. with a baked potato supper following from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 21 cards and games were played after the noon meal at 12:45 p.m. Our Special Events Committee has been busy planning events for all of you. They are also starting to plan the 2024 Festival of Tables for May 4. If you are interested in decorating a table, contact Sharon DiCarlo, Marilyn Robbins or Delia Atkinson. More information will be provided in the April Senior Center Moments column of True Dakotan. The next Senior Citizen’s Meeting will be April 8 at 12:30 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings and bring suggestions on what kind of activities you want your Senior Citizen’s Center to provide for you. Membership is $20 per person per year.
Meals are served Monday through Friday at noon and cost $5 for seniors 60 years of age or older, $8 for younger patrons, everyone welcome. Menus are available at the Senior Center or printed each week in True Dakotan. Please call 539-9331 by 9 a.m. that day to reserve a meal.
