The Wessington Springs Carnegie Library is pleased to welcome Eva Voorhees and Cherie Maxwell (City Council Representative) to our Library Board. Other members include Eileen Thomas (President), Pastor Mike Easter, Johnny Kruse, and Sara Shaller. Please take a moment to thank them for all they do for the library.
GROW South Dakota and the Carnegie Library is excited to host an upcoming class called “Identify the Fraud”. This class is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to detect and prevent fraudulent activities. Please see the ad notice for more information. The Carnegie Library presents the 2025 Summer Reading Program: “COLOR OUR WORLD”. Please see the ad notice for more information. We hope to see your child there.
Once again, the South Dakota State Library and the South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks have joined forces in providing the “Check Out South Dakota State Parks” program. This program provides library patrons with an opportunity to visit any South Dakota State Park or recreation area. The Carnegie Library has received one entrance license (pass) for our patrons to utilize until May of 2026. For any other questions or if you want to check out a pass, please stop by the library during our opening hours, and we will be glad to assist you.
We have recently purchased a variety of new children and adult books for your enjoyment. The library provides many other services to our community and will once again be an AR testing site for our young avid readers this summer as well. We have also added labels throughout the library to assist you in finding the area and books you may be looking for.
