A recent report indicated a man showing up at the entrance to Heaven. When asked “how did you get here,” he responded “I don’t know.” The angel inquired, “on what basis are you here?” The man answered “The man on the middle cross said I could come.” That is the only answer.

Origin of Covid

Recent news has focused on the origin of the Covid-19 virus. There is an ongoing debate about whether Covid-19 originated from spread of an animal virus to humans or whether the outbreak came from virus that leaked from a research lab.

Wrapping up the legislative session is always a bit of an odd experience. You’ve worked relentlessly for eight weeks and then the final week arrives and the whole normal order of business is upended. Regular committee work has ended and all that remains are conference committees and the budget.
