Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the cheeseburger, onion rings, etc. dinner from the Manor kitchen at noon. Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins and Miami Marlins baseball game at 1 p.m. The Twins won.

Editor’s note: In last week’s “Cuppy’s Corner,” Dar Cuppy reflected on memories of 72 years ago during her senior year in Alpena, when she mentioned a photo of the banquet held for students in lieu of the proms of today. She was kind enough to share that photo for publication in the True Dakotan.

Did anyone else have to deal with sugar-crashing children Sunday evening and begin to question their own sanity? Just me? I say this as the person who had candy thrown all over the church lawn for students to find so I know that I was my author of that particular stress point.
