A local team earned a second-place finish at the 2026 South Dakota State Valley 8-Ball Tournament, held March 11–15 at the Dakota Bank Center in Brookings.
Members of the Soak and Suds team, based out of Kimball, include Jeff Ashley and Shane Namanny of Kimball, Wayne Willman of Gann Valley, and Josh Luckett of Wessington Springs.
The team competed over three days, playing a total of 10 matches during the tournament.
The annual event, now in its 42nd year, brings together players from across South Dakota to compete in team and individual 8-ball competition.
