CUP COMES HOME: Springs ladies reclaim Solheim title

    The Solheim Cup is back in Wessington Springs.

    The sixth annual competition was held Sept. 11 at Springs Country Club, pitting the hometown ladies against golfers from Miller and other area communities. The Springs team came out on top, 8-4, to reclaim the cup on its home course.

    Kim and Cheyenne Burg and Millie Christensen and Barb Hine each earned two points for the Springs team. Erin Yost and Teresa Fonder added one point each, as did the teams of Joyce Krueger and Patsy Sorben, Kimberly Ahrenstorff and Regina Teveldal, and Marissa Schelske and Gloria Vavra.

    Yost and Fonder also carded the low round of the day with a 31.
