Generations Tee Off Together in Alternate-Shot Season Finale

The Springs Country Club hosted the final Youth-Adult Golf Tournament of the season on Sunday, August 24, drawing 26 teams for an afternoon of camaraderie and competition. Played in an alternate-shot format, the event capped a trio of youth-adult tournaments held this summer in Wessington Springs. Beyond the scorecards, the tournament highlighted the unique mentoring opportunities the game of golf provides—giving young players the chance to learn etiquette, patience, and course strategy from their adult partners. For many, the experience of competing side-by-side fosters not only confidence in their swings but also a deeper appreciation for the lifelong sport. Organizers noted that youth-adult tournaments help strengthen community ties while encouraging the next generation to stay engaged with the game.
