Kick off the weekend with wellness
The Annual Weskota Foundation Walk & Run for Wellness is set to take place August 5 at the Wessington Springs Fire Hall. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and the run starts at 7:30 a.m. Cost is $20 and includes a t-shirt.
Following the 5K, the kids fun run for ages 3-10 starts at 8:30 a.m. Event organizers request that adult supervision is required.
A 1.5 mile walk through Springs is to follow. Both the kids fun run and walk are free to participate in and t-shirts will be available for purchase for $15.
All proceeds from the walk and run go to support the Weskota Foundation whose mission is to help preserve health care services in the Wessington Springs area.
