The Wolsey-Wessington eSports team posted four wins during the week of Jan. 19 as the regular season nears its conclusion.
Boston Grubham earned a 3-0 victory in Super Smash Bros. against Centerville and is currently ranked 80th in the state. Connor Beals picked up a 2-1 win in chess over Elk Mountain and holds an 18th-place ranking.
Twins Jackson and Jayden Eggleston secured a 2-1 Mario Kart win against Dakota Valley and are ranked second in the state in the game. Jeven Zerfoss recorded a 2-0 chess victory over Tripp-Delmont and is ranked 36th.
In updated individual and team rankings, Kolton Sopko and Jeven Zerfoss, competing as Team JK, are ranked 33rd in Mario Kart. Jackson Eggleston is ranked 127th in Super Smash Bros., while Jayden Eggleston is ranked 28th.
With four wins on the week, the Wolsey-Wessington eSports team heads into the final week of the regular season with momentum.
