As a part of his senior project, WSHS Senior, Braydin LaBore, is set to hold a wrestling camp for Kindergarten - 6th graders, Monday, February 27, 2023 from 5 - 6 p.m. LaBore invites all area youth wrestlers to participate in his camp that will focus on the fundamentals of wrestling.

“I chose to do this as my senior project because I love wrestling and it has been a huge part of my life,” says LaBore. “I have been wrestling for more than 10 years and have attended multiple camps, such as this one, that focus solelyonthefundamentals of wrestling. You need to have a strong foundation to build on in order to be successful.”

LaBore, with the help of Wessington Springs/ Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington(WS/W/W-W) head coach, Kevin Haider, and assistant coach, Adam Haake, is going to focus on the fundamentals of wrestling and work on all three positions of wrestling: top, bottom and neutral. He hopes that kids will learn new wrestling moves and techniques that will help them in their upcoming district tournament.

“Camps like these are important because it teaches kids fundamental wrestling techniques that are crucial to the future success of not only the individual athlete, but also the future of the WS/W/W-W wrestling program,” comments LaBore.

Youth interested in attending can report to the Wessington Springs Gymnasium at 4:45 p.m. that afternoon.
