With Fourth of July falling on our press day, Tuesday, this year, our printer will be closed so that press room employees can celebrate Independence Day. While our press deadline schedule for the coming week is early on Monday, the print and e-edition will still be distributed on Wednesday, July 5.

Artist’s Way: WSHS Alumni Mural to be Featured at Jerauld County Pioneer Museum

Jack Neely, 2023 graduate of WSHS, recently handed over his project from senior experience to the Jerauld County Pioneer Museum in Wessington Springs. Earlier in his senior year, Jack decided to do a 4 foot by 8 foot mural depicting modern warfare for his senior experience project.

The International P.E.O. STAR Scholarship Board of Trustees announced that Harlee Heim, a 2023 graduate of Wessington Springs High School, was selected as a recipient of a $2,500 P.E.O. STAR Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year.
