Check Out State Park Passes at SD Libraries

South Dakotans can now check out state park passes from many public and academic libraries across the state through the new Check Out South Dakota State Parks program.

It was”all hands on deck” during WSHS student Harlee Heim’s cat spay/neuter clinic she organized as part of her senior project. Held at Prairie View Veterinary Clinic in Wessington Springs with surgeries and procedures performed by veterinary staff, the project’ spayed/neutered 50 feral and/or companion animal cats. From the halls of WSHS we bring a couple new projects to this week’s Artist’s Corner. The Drawing Class students were recently learning about 3-Point Perspective. In 3-Point Perspective there are two viewpoints: Ant’s View and Bird’s Eye View.

From the halls of WSHS, we bring two newly completed paintings created by sophomore Ryder Michalek and junior Marissa Dornbusch. Ryder created this beautiful ocean scene (above right) with oil paint. He really focused on blending his colors for a very realistic appearance.
