Freedom, Family, Fireworks and Fun Shine Bright During Hometown Fourth of July Celebration

Other winning entries included: Most Humorous - Shriners Hillbilly Clan #185, Best Car or Pickup - 1929 Pickup driven by Lloyd Kraft, Best Horse Entry - Kyle Evans Wagon Train, Phil Wipf and Elton Kaus, Best Horse Drawn - Klein Ranch, Best Commercial Equipment - Grandpa’s Daycare pulled by Mike Waters driving a 1958 Super A.

    Community members, visitors, friends and family donned in red, white and blue filled the streets on Tuesday, July 4 to take part in the annual Wessington Springs Fourth of July parade. Sticking to the “Cowboys and Freedom” theme of this year’s parade, area businesses, individuals and organizations displayed their floats down the parade route that began on College Avenue, made its way down Main Street and ended at Weskota Manor Avera as kids scrambled for candy and other goodies.
