From the halls of WSHS we bring a couple of our first drawings completed by the Intro to Art students.
At the beginning of the school year, we always start by studying 1 and 2-point perspective. Perspective is an essential tool for creating depth and dimension in art. By understanding and using perspective effectively, students will be able to create realistic people, animals, and environments. The students did very well with this project. Their work is on display at the Jerauld County Courthouse and will remain there for the next couple weeks.
Here are just a few examples of the completed perspective projects on display. These were completed by freshmen Darcy Ormsmith, Jewel McGeough, and Zachary Kruse.
